Location: Orleans, MA
Schedule: Thurs-Sat Nights, Sunday AM

Job Description

Sunbird is seeking a full-time, year-round dishwasher to join our kitchen team. Our dishwashers are key to Sunbird's daily success. They are dependable, efficient, self-motivated team players who embrace “the sunbird way”, using the systems in place now, and contributing to improving them going forward.

We offer our dishwashers a competitive hourly pay based on their performance, attention to detail, and ability to help keep our kitchen clean, well-organized, and ready for every shift.

Responsibilities

  • Operate our industrial dishwasher safely and effectively

  • Willingness to help clean up spills and broken glassware

  • Provide assistance to prep cooks and other staff as needed — especially during peak busy times

  • Perform opening and closing side work

  • Keep dish station and sink areas clean and organized

  • Keep service and cookware clean (pots, pans, etc.)

  • Maintain cleanliness of surfaces and floors (sweeping / mopping)

  • Empty and clean kitchen trash receptacles as needed

  • Clean and help maintain dish storage areas


Qualifications

  • No experience required; we will train you!

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills

  • Ability to operate industrial machinery

  • Able to regularly work 8 or more hours with repeated walking, bending, stretching and occasional lifting of food products and supplies up to 30 pounds
